Legal Assistant Paralegal

Charlotte law firm with strong team culture and top-notch benefits is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal with 1+ years of plaintiff's personal injury experience.

Primary duties include:

Handle pre-litigation cases from intake to settlement:

• Communicate with clients on a daily basis
• Set up new claims with insurance carriers
• Request medical records and bills
• Assist with property damage claim
• Preparing settlement demands for insurance carriers
• Communicate with lien-holders on lien reductions
• Prepare settlement documents
• Other aspects of case management role

Candidates must possess:

• 1 plus years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience
• Ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis
• A high degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion
• Ability to resolve conflicts and empathize with clients is critical
• High level organization and time management skills
• Ability to accomplish results and meet goals
• Self-management skills and the ability to hit the ground running
• Attention to detail
• Above average typing skills (60+ words per minute)
