Learning and Development Manager

As the L & D leader, you will play a key role in strengthening consulting capability, healthcare, and health technology expertise, and leadership effectiveness. This role partners with practice leadership and subject matter experts to design, deliver, and enhance learning programs across consulting teams.

This role oversees the end-to-end learning experience, including management of LMS and the new hire onboarding program. The ideal candidate brings strong instructional design and internal consulting skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning experiences while balancing strategy and execution.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to align learning and development initiatives with business priorities and evolving employee development needs across divisions.
  • Identify training needs by evaluating employee capabilities and performance across consulting levels, leveraging surveys, leadership input, and performance data.
  • Develop and deliver engaging learning programs, workshops, and continuous development experiences focused on consulting skills, healthcare expertise, communication, and technology.
  • Continuously enhance learning offerings based on participant feedback, program effectiveness, performance outcomes, and shifts in healthcare and health tech.
  • Analyze training data and key metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead and facilitate a range of training sessions, including targeted programs for specific consulting levels.
  • Support and coach instructors to strengthen the quality, consistency, and impact of training delivery.
  • Oversee the Learning Management System, ensuring content is well-organized, current, and optimized for user experience.
  • Manage the development and delivery of L & D components within the new hire onboarding experience.
  • Own internal L&D communications, including program updates, session invitations, and training announcements.
  • Stay current on healthcare policy, emerging technologies, and consulting best practices to keep learning content relevant and practical.
  • Collaborate with consulting leaders, practice heads, and subject matter experts to co-develop content grounded in real client work.
  • Strategic partner to design learning solutions that enhance internal capabilities and support client delivery.
  • Engage external partners or vendors as needed to bring in specialized expertise or scale learning efforts.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.


Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, L&D, or related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience in learning/talent development, ideally within professional services or consulting.
  • Experience in healthcare and/or health technology, with interest in innovation.
  • Familiarity with digital and blended learning, including LMS platforms.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and practical applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding healthcare policy, health tech trends, and consulting best practices.
  • Excellent presentation skills (in-person and virtual).
  • Willingness to travel and engage directly with clients.
