JOB POSTING

A nationally recognized, employee-owned metal building construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Lead Project Manager to join their growing team in Villa Rica, GA. This is a high-impact, senior-level opportunity for a construction professional ready to lead both projects and people at the highest level.

Our client is one of the largest metal building component manufacturers in the United States, providing end-to-end construction services, from material supply to full building erection, across 48 states. With a culture built on accountability, craftsmanship, and genuine care for its people, this organization offers the stability of a national company with the tight-knit feel of a high-performing team.

The Opportunity

As Construction Lead Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of complex metal building construction projects while mentoring and leading a team of project managers, field supervisors, and coordinators. You are the escalation point, the standard-setter, and the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, on the project side or the people side.

This is not a desk role. You will be in the market, on job sites, and in front of clients and GCs across the country. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and are ready to take on a role with a clear path to VP-level leadership, this is worth a conversation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale commercial metal building construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Mentor and develop a team of project managers and field supervisors, serving as the primary escalation point for project and client issues
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, cost forecasts, and progress billing
  • Coordinate across pre-construction, engineering, procurement, logistics, and field teams to keep projects moving
  • Review contracts, flag risk, and provide internal feedback to strengthen future project agreements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Drive consistency in project execution by establishing and enforcing standard PM processes
  • Proactively identify and resolve downstream construction issues before they escalate

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience, including budget, schedule, subcontractor, and supplier management
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team of project managers
  • Strong contract literacy: scope, site conditions, notice provisions, liquidated damages, and change orders
  • Experience managing self-perform crews and subcontractors simultaneously
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and present working tools
  • Proficiency in construction management platforms (Procore, MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar)
  • Ability to travel 25–75% depending on project demands
  • Must be located in or willing to relocate to Villa Rica, GA

Preferred

  • PMP, PE, or DBIA certification
  • Background as owner's rep, developer, GC, or subcontractor; multi-perspective experience is a strong plus
  • Experience in metal building systems or design-build construction environments

What's In It for You

  • Base salary: competitive, commensurate with experience
  • Annual performance bonus (MBO)
  • Profit sharing through a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) structure; you become an owner from day one
  • Monthly cell phone and auto allowances
  • A genuine path to VP-level leadership; succession planning is part of how this organization thinks
  • A culture where hard work is rewarded, people are respected, and there are no politics
