Lead Production Associate

Role Description

The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting daily production operations to ensure products are assembled and repackaged for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This role coordinates workflow across multiple production lines, supports team members, enforces safety protocols, and helps drive overall efficiency. The position requires hands-on leadership, strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage both people and production tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:

• Assist in supervising daily production operations to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards
• Coordinate workflow across multiple production lines and rotate team members as needed
• Prepare and organize parts, materials, and dunnage to support efficient production
• Monitor and restock inventory, ensuring FIFO processes are followed
• Print, pack, and label outbound shipments according to customer requirements
• Perform quality checks on assembled and packaged products
• Generate and submit shift reports including production, safety, and inventory updates
• Enforce safety policies and participate in daily/weekly safety discussions
• Train and mentor production employees to improve performance and compliance
• Assist forklift (Hilo) operators and ensure proper warehouse practices
• Step into Production Supervisor responsibilities when needed
• Collaborate with supply chain to support production planning and scheduling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Report maintenance issues and assist with facility upkeep as needed
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

Qualifications

• Experience in Production Lead positions, and working efficiently on Production Lines
• Proficiency in Machine Operation and familiarity with production equipment
• Knowledge of Quality Control processes to ensure product standards are met and maintained
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changes in production priorities and needs
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Computer literacy and ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
• High school diploma or equivalent (required); additional technical training or certifications are a plus
