We’re seeking a senior-level Piping Design Technician Specialist to lead piping design quality and execution across complex industrial projects. This role serves as a technical authority, ensuring designs are code-compliant, constructible, and aligned with project scope, schedule, and safety standards.
Pay: $52.00- $68.00 per hour DOE
What You’ll Do:
- Lead piping design efforts or serve as QA/QC authority on projects
- Review and guide 3D model-based designs (Revit/CADWorx)
- Ensure compliance with piping codes, standards, and specifications
- Coordinate across disciplines to resolve design and constructability challenges
- Identify risks early and drive design improvements
- Support estimating, scheduling, and change management
- Mentor junior designers and support global workshare teams
What You Bring:
- Associate’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 12–15+ years of piping design/engineering experience in industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of ASME, B31.3, and related piping codes
- Experience with Revit and/or CADWorx Plant
- Proven leadership or technical authority experience
- Strong understanding of constructability, safety, and cost control
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
Bonus:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing experience
- Pipe stress coordination knowledge
- Experience mentoring teams and supporting global projects
- Familiarity with QA/QC, earned value, and change control processes
