Laser Operator

Join our team as a CNC Laser Helper where you will assist the operator in loading materials and ensuring the smooth operation of CNC Trumpf Laser machines. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining production efficiency in a dynamic machine shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CNC operator in loading materials onto the machine.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as needed.
• Support the operation and setup of CNC machines, including lasers.
• Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and encoders.
• Understand and apply electrical and mechanical principles in daily tasks.

• Experience with CNC machine operation and setup.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools.
• Knowledge of laser technology and operation.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Training will be required for the first 2-3 weeks on the job.
• Experience with sheet metal and CNC Trumpf Laser is advantageous.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHATTANOOGA, TN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
