MajorDuties

  • Primary duties and responsibilities include: Mowing and edging lawns and other public areas. Maintaining comfort stations and emptying trash receptacles Raking leaves, removing weeds and other debris from public areas. Assisting with minor woodworking and plumbing maintenance and repairs. Operating light duty motor vehicles: e.g., pickup trucks/sedans, flatbed trucks, etc.to transport passengers, equipment and materials to and from work sites. Taking proper care of tools and equipment used for work assignments. Adhering to all safety standards and procedures due to the nature of the work, the types of tools and equipment used, and the weight of objects handled. Performing other related duties as assigned within this job classification.

This position does not allow substituting education for experience.

Requirements

You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. You must be suitable for federal employment, as determined by a background investigation. It requires a fully completed and favorably adjudicated SF85 Background Investigation (T1 or equivalent) that is current (within the last 5 years). This is a condition of employment. You must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license as the position requires operation of government vehicles on government and public roads. Failure to maintain a valid driver's license may result in removal from the position. You will be required to wear the Reclamation issued uniform while working. You will be required to obtain a successful pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying your ability to perform the duties of the position. Category rating and selection procedures will be used to evaluate applications from this announcement.
