Consumer Products CW Lab Technician – Lab Tech I
- We are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Home Improvement Consumer Products Lab Team. As a Lab Tech, you will play a critical role in conducting tests and experiments to ensure the quality and safety of our consumer products. This is a full‑time, in‑person position.
- This is a highly active role that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to keep up with a fast‑paced environment. The worker will perform physical and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and organize setups for product testing
- Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research
- Perform mechanical performance tests for research, development, or quality control purposes
- Conduct visual observations and testing on competitor product samples and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders
- Perform hands‑on testing using multiple pieces of laboratory equipment
- Move, arrange, sort, and hang product testing weights (2 lbs – 20 lbs)
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to work 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry 5‑pound weights at high repetitions
- Ability to use a ladder or step stool to work from elevated surfaces
- Proficient hand‑eye coordination and strong manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills; self‑motivated and results‑driven
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt to team needs and work with multiple individuals and groups
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proven ability to problem‑solve and implement solutions
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete tasks with little to no supervision

- Team‑oriented individual with strong physical mobility and dexterity
- Good observation skills and excellent communication
- Ability to adapt and adjust to the team’s needs
