Job Title : Lab Technician

Duration : 6 months (Possibility of extension)

Location : Plano, TX 75024(Onsite)

Payrate : $30-32/hr on w2 without any benefits/holiday/vacation

Job Description: What we’re looking for A detail-oriented and highly motivated Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze various materials to required standards. Reporting to the Materials Lab Supervisor, the person in this role will work with the Materials Lab team to execute Technical Evaluation and Investigation section objectives in support of Material Quality engineering functions.


What you’ll be doing

Translate analytical requests into actual sample prep, equipment set up, data collection and reporting.

Conduct material evaluations according to standard methods.

Maintain, comply, and support Lab Safety requirements and workplace organization standards.

Utilize standardized work methods and machine operating procedures to conduct evaluations.

Identify and communicate abnormalities in processes and information.

Support lab equipment general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and calibration.

Actively lead/initiate problem-solving activities to identify root cause, countermeasures and prevent recurrence.


Requirements:

Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience in an analytical laboratory.

Ability to communicate with requesting engineers to ensure integrity of analytical results.

Experience using technical standards to execute analyses per prescribed methodology.

Ability to recognize and resolve testing and equipment issues before, during, and after evaluations.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook.
