Laboratory Technician

Join our dynamic team to support the research and development of plant genome editing technologies. You will assist technical personnel in general laboratory operations and routine information handling tasks, contributing to innovative scientific research.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members in conducting experiments and technical operations.
• Work as part of a team to support research and development activities.
• Understand and follow laboratory protocols, completing tasks promptly.
• Help formulate work plans and manage daily workloads efficiently.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in biochemistry, biological science, genetics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with routine molecular biology techniques.
• Proficiency in PCR, plasmid/vector construction, E. coli transformation, and DNA extraction.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

This is a Monday through Friday position on the 1st shift. Work in a collaborative laboratory environment where adherence to safety protocols is paramount.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Johnston, IA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
