Job Title: Lab Technician
Pay Rate: $23/HR
Duration: 6 months
Location: Chanhassen, MN
Shift: 8 AM -5 PM
Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.
We are looking for a Lab Technician
Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Perform mechanical/electrical/thermal properties testing of thermal interface materials and coatings - Evaluate, collect, and record data.
- Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook/ppt.
- Use a computer to enter data/information, including charts and tables, for communication of project results/details.
- Basic experience in the lab/workshop setting
- Understanding of safety
- Willing to learn and trainable
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable with Excel sheets
- A degree in material science, mechanical/civil/structural/material/chemical engineering would be plus.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 1-3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
- Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
