Job Title: Laboratory Support Technician
Job Description

The Laboratory Support Technician will work alongside laboratory personnel, assisting with various tasks including cleaning glassware, managing waste, maintaining inventory, and calibrating equipment daily. The role involves preparing areas for scientists, assisting analysts with gathering materials, labeling glassware, preparing and disposing of solutions, as well as conducting monthly checks for chemical expiration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist laboratory personnel with cleaning and maintenance of glassware and equipment.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals.
  • Perform daily calibration of balances and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Prepare standard areas for scientists and assist analysts with material gathering and labeling.
  • Prepare and dispose of solutions as needed.
  • Conduct monthly checks for expiration of chemicals and reagents.
  • Receive in-house training to perform basic quality control testing, including FT-IR.
Essential Skills
  • AS or BS Degree in the Sciences or a High School Diploma with experience in a laboratory setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with quality control testing, including FT-IR, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
Work Environment

The position involves working within both an office environment and a laboratory in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to the person, with flexible hours if needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Germantown, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
