A top-tier AM law firm is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing practice, working with high-profile national clients on a broad mix of litigation and advisory matters. The role offers exposure to complex employment disputes and day-to-day counseling, making it ideal for a well-rounded L&E attorney looking to step into a more senior, client-facing position.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including: wage & hour class actions, PAGA representative actions & matters in state and federal courts and arbitration
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other court filings
- Manage discovery, depositions, and case strategy
- Advise clients on employment law matters, including: employee handbooks and workplace policies, onboarding and separation materials, leaves of absence and accommodations & employee disciplinary issues
- Work directly with clients on day-to-day employment counseling and risk management
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of Employment & Labor experience
- Strong background in employment litigation, including class and representative actions
- Experience with employment counseling and advisory work
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to manage complex matters independently
- Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
