Labor And Employment Attorney

We are working with a growing defense firm, looking for a Labor and Employment Attorney to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 4+ years of Labor & Employment experience, in addition to litigation experience.


Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Labor & Employment experience
  • 2+ years of defense litigation experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client needs
  • Impeccable written, verbal and advocacy skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of Illinois


Responsibilities:

  • 1800 billable environment
  • Represent employers in federal and state court litigation, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace policies, and risk management strategies.
  • Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, employee discipline, and termination.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
  • Represent organizations in labor disputes, grievance procedures, arbitration hearings, and administrative proceedings.


The annual salary for this position is between 175k-225k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
