Labor and Employment Associate

An established, full-service law firm is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate to join its growing team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney to work on a broad range of employment matters within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with strong mentorship and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigatory interviews
• Draft and respond to discovery requests
• Prepare initial pleadings and legal documentation
• Draft and argue motions
• Prepare administrative position statements
• Assist with and conduct depositions (where applicable)
• Manage caseload efficiently and communicate effectively with clients

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York State Bar
• Minimum of 2 years’ litigation experience, ideally within employment and labor law
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines
• Excellent client communication and responsiveness
• Sound judgment, including the ability to assess urgency and complexity of matters
