Qualifications:

High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in life sciences preferred

1+ year of hands-on lab experience

Exposure to regulated environments (GMP/GLP) preferred

Ability to record and document data

Job Description:

A Lab Technician supports scientific investigations by performing routine tests, preparing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring all work follows established safety and quality standards. The role is essential for keeping research, clinical, or industrial labs running smoothly and producing reliable data.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols.
• Prepare, label, and analyze samples (e.g., biological, chemical, or environmental).
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Record, interpret, and report data with accuracy and clarity.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant workspaces in accordance with safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of lab supplies and reagents; assist with ordering as needed.
• Support scientists or lab managers with ongoing research or production tasks.
• Follow all safety, quality control, and documentation procedures (e.g., GLP, ISO, CLIA depending on the lab type).

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
