Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain industry experience in a regulated laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips and ensuring accuracy and precision in results.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of blood glucose test strips within environmental chambers.
• Prepare and process blood samples for testing.
• Manipulate and test hematocrit levels.
• Perform glucose spiking for testing accuracy and performance.
• Accurately document test results and observations per protocols.
• Operate and maintain basic laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow all laboratory safety, quality, and procedural guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or coursework in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field (or equivalent lab experience).
• Previous experience working with blood samples preferred.
• Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
• Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing/lab environment.

Work Environment

This role involves frequent trips between the laboratory and environmental chambers. The work schedule follows a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Work involves using instruments such as centrifuges, pipettes, capillary tubes, and environmental chambers (5°C-40°C).

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Lauderdale,FL.
