The Key Account Manager, Nuclear Flow Controls, plays a critical role in advancing Emerson’s presence in North America Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Generation IV nuclear technologies. This position represents Emerson’s nuclear valve manufacturing locations and leads strategic engagement across customers, partners, and internal teams to grow the installed base of control, safety, and isolation valves. The role works across a global matrix to align commercial strategy, product positioning, and long-term growth opportunities within the nuclear energy market.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Represent Emerson Flow Controls in the pursuit of North America SMR and Generation IV nuclear projects.
  • Develop and execute the strategic direction for SMR nuclear business at both the Flow Controls and Final Control levels.
  • Lead market analysis of North America SMR technologies, including assessment of domestic and international competitors, to strengthen Emerson’s future installed base of nuclear valve solutions.
  • Partner with sales leadership to co-own the SMR order budget and establish standardized operating and planning processes across Emerson nuclear valve manufacturing locations, with a mid- and long-term strategic perspective.
  • Collaborate closely with Emerson local Sales Organizations, Impact Partners, and SMR customers and partners, serving as a key point of connection and communication.
  • Coordinate global product management activities for nuclear valve products supported by North America, working in close partnership with Nuclear Business Unit local sales representatives.
  • Ensure all business activities are conducted in alignment with Global Nuclear Safety expectations, the Company’s Ethics policy, Quality Systems, and Trade Compliance requirements.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience with proactive, customer-facing selling in a technical or engineered products environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to align strategy, customer needs, and financial outcomes.
  • Experience collaborating across functions and influencing without direct authority.
  • The ability to navigate and succeed within a complex, global matrix organization.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Sales experience within the nuclear industry across multiple business units.
  • Sales or commercial experience within the nuclear industry.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear industry applications and business practices.
  • Familiarity with nuclear control, safety, and isolation valve applications, including SMR or advanced reactor technologies.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $110,000 to 135,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
