We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join our team. The ideal Junior Engineer will be positive, cheerful, and have an optimistic outlook on their life and career. The candidate should be reliable and honest, as the position includes handling company resources. While the ability to take direction is important, being assertive and communicative is just as equally valued. The candidate should be a self-starter, be able to multitask, and be a fast learner. The position includes assisting the entire design and engineering studio, with a focus on training for a successful career in Engineering.


Duties (include but are not limited to):


  • Assist Engineers in maintaining spreadsheets and tracking software.
  • Assist Engineers in daily factory follow-up communication.
  • Liaise and correspond with outside designers, including meeting scheduling.
  • Work with Engineers on CAD updates and communicate product revisions to factories.
  • Handle physical drawings in the Studio, assisting engineers and designers in meeting preparation and cleanup; Ensuring drawings, swatches, and samples are handled to the highest quality standards.
  • File drawings digitally, maintain digital drawing archive.
  • Manage maintenance of Studio printers.
  • Liaise with the QC department to coordinate handling of QC issues.
  • General support for all Design and Engineering team members as required.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.

  • Interest in Lighting Industry, Design, Engineering, and an eye for design, a plus.
  • Fluent in English (writing, reading, and speaking).
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office required, Adobe Photoshop a plus, AutoCAD and SolidWorks a plus.
  • Open-minded willingness and ability to learn new software as required.
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 5% annually to trade shows.
  • Must have the ability to reliably commute to Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
  • US citizen or permanent resident (no Visa sponsorship available).
