Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team in the South Bend/New Carlisle area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical maintenance and construction, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and compliance of electrical systems within data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and motivate crews with a positive and professional approach.
  • Work alongside team members 'on the tools' when required to support field tasks and maintain productivity.
  • Perform configuration, parameter setups, and functional testing of electrical systems supporting critical data-center operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair 480V and 120V electrical panels, switchgear, control wiring, PLCs, relays, and power supplies.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Work in environments involving heights, confined spaces, dusty conditions, moderate noise, outdoor weather, and potential electrical hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and data-center protocols.
Essential Skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical work.
  • Preferred licensed Journeyman Electrician, but license is not required.
  • Leadership experience to manage a crew of 5-8 electricians.
  • Proficiency in testing, configuring parameters, and modifying electrical systems for data center halls.
  • Experience with electrical schematics, 480V systems, and instrumentation controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrical panel building and troubleshooting experience.
  • Must have own basic tools; power tools will be supplied.
  • Construction, electrical, control panel, switchgear, commissioning, blueprint, troubleshooting, instrumentation controls, schematic.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $104000.00/yr.
