*About the Role: Join an established electrical contractor in the Des Moines area as a skilled Journeyman Electrician to work on commercial, residential, industrial, utility, and service‑based electrical projects. This role is ideal for experienced electricians who want steady work, strong team culture, and opportunities to lead apprentices on job sites.*What You’ll Do
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems on commercial, residential, and industrial projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Run and bend conduit, pull wire, install panels, breakers, fixtures, and devices
  • Perform rough‑in and finish electrical work according to code
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and complete service‑related tasks
  • Lead and mentor apprentices while ensuring quality workmanship
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized job site
  • Communicate with project managers, foremen, and customers as needed
*What You Need
  • Active Journeyman Electrician license (Iowa or reciprocating state)
  • Strong experience with commercial and residential electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform layout independently
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work full shifts involving bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting materials
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work both independently and with a crew

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
