A growing industrial services organization is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead enterprise technology operations and support the continued modernization of its IT environment.
The IT Operations Manager will oversee enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, managed service providers, and IT service delivery while leading a small team of IT professionals. A key focus of this role will be driving ERP platform optimization, cloud adoption, and operational improvements across the organization.
IT Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as a trusted technology partner to executive leadership and key business stakeholders
- Help shape long-term IT strategy, modernization initiatives, and technology roadmaps
- Lead efforts to evolve IT operations from reactive support to a more strategic business function
- Develop and implement IT policies and operational standards that align with business goals
ERP & Enterprise Applications
- Provide leadership and oversight for the organization’s ERP platform and supporting systems
- Serve as a primary IT owner for ERP initiatives, upgrades, and modernization efforts
- Partner with implementation partners and vendors to deliver successful ERP projects
- Support adoption of reporting, automation, and workflow tools to improve operational efficiency
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Provide oversight for enterprise systems hosted in Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms
- Ensure infrastructure performance, availability, and security across enterprise systems
- Support architectural decisions related to SaaS adoption and system integrations
Managed Services & Vendor Management
- Act as the primary technical liaison and escalation point for managed service providers
- Define service expectations, performance metrics, and vendor accountability standards
- Coordinate infrastructure, security, and platform initiatives across technology partners
Network & Multi-Site Operations
- Oversee network connectivity and infrastructure supporting multiple branch locations and remote users
- Ensure reliable connectivity for field technicians and distributed operations
- Partner with network providers to maintain uptime, performance, and scalability
Security, Compliance & Risk
- Support enterprise security initiatives including identity management, endpoint protection, and data security
- Collaborate with security partners and vendors to maintain strong cybersecurity practices
- Participate in risk assessments, audits, and incident response coordination
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT leadership, ERP management, or enterprise technology operations
- Strong experience supporting or managing ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-hosted enterprise environments
- Familiarity with managed service provider (MSP) operating models and vendor governance
- Experience supporting multi-site organizations or distributed workforces
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security practices, and enterprise applications
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, vendors, and operational priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Prior roles such as IT Manager, ERP Manager, Applications Manager, or Solutions Architect are highly relevant
- Experience leading ERP implementations, migrations, or cloud modernization initiatives preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environments is a plus
