This Data Analytics Engineer role is a newly established position designed to elevate and enable Tri-State's strategic data and analytic goals with a constant eye toward long-term sustainable practices. The individual will utilize their knowledge of advanced analytics and data best practices to help drive the initial implementation of the company's data landscape, including supporting the creation of the organization’s data warehouse, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, supporting integration efforts, supporting initial organizational reporting, and addressing long-term analytic needs. This role requires a forward-thinking data expert with experience in data warehousing, analytical engineering best practices, and basic modern statistics to help build the innovative, data-driven solutions that will empower the organization’s current and future data needs.

Note: There is one position available, and the position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: IT Data Analytics Engineer I, job grade 7; IT Data Analytics Engineer II, job grade 8, IT Data Analytics Engineer III, job grade 9; or Senior Data Analytics Engineer, job grade 10. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Hiring Salary Range: $109,000-$139,000

IT Data Analytics Engineer III
Hiring Salary Range: $98,000-$124,000

IT Data Analytics Engineer II
Hiring Salary Range: $88,000-$111,000

IT Data Analytics Engineer I
Hiring Salary Range: $80,000-$99,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
 

  • Help design and implement the organization’s data warehousing strategy to support scalable analytics and long-term data needs, including data from multiple applications and diverse data sources to enable effective data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for seamless integration of third-party applications and internal data sources.
  • Help create organizational gold standard reporting solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide mentorship on development, data, and analytical best practices.
  • Develop and design various dev ops solutions to enable consistent and automated team operations. 
  • Support ad-hoc data needs for a wide range of various business requirements.
  • Design systems with an eye towards the future to support MLOps and demonstrate knowledge of advanced analytics including modeling needs and practices.
  • Troubleshoot data integration issues and bugs, analyze reasons for failure, implement optimal solutions, and revise procedures as needed.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality implementation.
  • Use best practices to test and deploy changes from staging environments to production.
  • Prepare high level design and architecture diagrams.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track and report the status of key efforts to the organization.
  • Collaborate and work with data analysts in various departments to ensure that we are effectively capturing and providing their data needs. 
  • Provide technical guidance for the design and implementation of data governance systems and policy.
  • Support and be familiar with requirements of SOX compliance.
