IP Associate

A top-tier U.S. law firm is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and highly qualified mid-level Litigation Associate to join its market-leading Intellectual Property practice.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on high-profile, complex patent disputes for global clients, within a highly regarded team known for its strength in cutting-edge technology matters.

The Role

You will have 3–5 years of experience as a patent litigator, with strong experience representing both accused infringers and patent owners. The role includes exposure to a broad range of forums, including:

• U.S. District Courts
• The International Trade Commission (ITC)
• USPTO proceedings, including PTAB matters

Key Requirements

• 3–5 years of patent litigation experience at a leading law firm
• Experience handling matters before district courts, ITC, and/or PTAB
• Ideally with a technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent
• Admission to the California State Bar (required)
• USPTO registration (preferred, but not essential)

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage complex litigation and work collaboratively in a high-performing team
• Commercially minded with a client-focused approach

Compensation

• Base salary ranging from $250,000 to $370,000, depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus
