Job Title: Senior Analyst / Associate – Technology M&A (Software/SaaS Focus)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid or On-site)

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst or Associate with a minimum of 3 years of investment banking experience focused on technology M&A—preferably within software and SaaS. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in the execution of transactions, client communications, and financial analyses, working closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the deal lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions, including sell-side, buy-side, and capital raise engagements within the software and SaaS verticals.
  • Build detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and public trading/transaction comps analyses.
  • Prepare high-quality client materials including pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Conduct industry, market, and company research to support transaction execution and business development initiatives.
  • Interact directly with clients, prospective buyers/investors, legal counsel, and accounting advisors during all phases of a transaction.
  • Support senior team members in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and driving origination efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution; finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time investment banking experience, with a clear focus on M&A within software, SaaS, or broader technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, corporate finance, and M&A transaction mechanics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CapIQ, PitchBook, and other financial databases.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines, and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Prior experience at a middle-market or boutique investment bank is strongly preferred.
