The Village Companies – Shared Services
The Shared Services teams support all companies across The Village organization by providing essential business functions including HR, Finance, IT, Maintenance, and Finished Goods Warehouse operations. Serving as the backbone of the organization, these teams partner closely with every division to streamline processes, enhance communication, and help each business succeed. Shared Services plays a critical role in keeping everything running smoothly while driving continuous improvement across the entire Village.

About the Role:
The Inventory Technician II is responsible for managing inventory operations to support production and shipping needs. This role includes inbound receiving, organizing, monitoring, replenishing, moving, and maintaining inventory, as well as supporting outbound shipping to ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer orders.
Hours & Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay Range:$18/hr.-$22/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive incoming deliveries and enter transactions into the ERP system.
- Report discrepancies in incoming materials to appropriate team members.
- Move parts from Receiving to designated storage or production locations.
- Manage centralized and Point-of-Use inventory locations.
- Set up and maintain stock locations (bins, labels, carts, overstock, etc)
- Initiate and perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Assist with Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Participate in continuous improvement and material management projects.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment ensuring quality and completeness.
- Perform shipping transactions using manifest systems (e.g., UPS WorldShip).
- Process shipping and invoicing transactions within ERP systems
- Monitor open orders, shortages, and shipment status.
- Maintain awareness of shipping costs and efficiencies.
- Support all other inventory, shipping, counting, or material handling activities as assigned
Materials & Equipment Utilized
- Tape gun, utility knife, computer, small hand tools.
- Warehouse equipment such as WAV and forklift (as applicable).
Working Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses.
Requirements
Education & Training
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of related experience or training preferred (or equivalent combination).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) preferred.
- Understanding of inventory management and manufacturing workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good keyboarding and data entry skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Organized, dependable, and reliable.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing customer demands.
- Basic understanding of shipping processes and related costs.
Travel Requirements
- Minimal travel, primarily between Village company locations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods; walk, climb, bend, and reach.
- Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
