Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cycle Counter to support inventory accuracy within our manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and cross-functional collaboration with materials, manufacturing, and purchasing teams. The Cycle Counter plays a critical role in minimizing line disruptions and ensuring compliance with company inventory policies.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute cycle count plans in accordance with policy
  • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies within the inventory database
  • Research and identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and trends
  • Partner with materials, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to resolve inventory and accounts payable issues related to receipts
  • Report inventory inaccuracies, adjustments, and trends to leadership
  • Communicate performance metrics related to inventory accuracy and warehouse objectives
  • Update and maintain cycle count reports and inventory metrics
  • Collect and report data associated with critical production line disruptions
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all established policies and procedures

Qualifications / Essential Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Solid attendance and reliability
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment
  • Fully on-site position in Norwalk, Iowa
  • Schedule: 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday
  • Overtime required during busy seasons, including up to 50-hour work weeks and two Saturdays per month
  • Work performed across multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Facilities are not temperature controlled
  • Steel-toed shoes required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
