Job Title: Inventory Control Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Department: Operations

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00/YEARLY


Purpose of PositionMaintain and monitor inventory levels and product movement for accuracy.

Position Expectations

Production Support:

  • Coordinate product and packaging material inventory use.
  • Do inventory audits and cycle counts as required.
  • Ability to coordinate, problem solve, and communicate inventory issues to customers, vendors, and Production Planner.
  • Coordinate the product recoup operation.
  • Backfill on production lines as needed.
  • Oversee all customers’ inventories and must be able to work in all facilities in assigned region.

Safety:

  • Follow established Dock Safety policy.
  • Complete the Motorized Equipment Daily Inspection sheet.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
  • Wear PPEs as required.
  • Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.

Monitor ALL Inventory Counts:


Perform Inventory Audits:

  • Inventory numbers need to be accurate, or they can damage a business' bottom line. Inventory control managers must perform audits regularly to uncover any problems.
  • Confirm and secure all Hold Product identified by the Customer.
  • Sustain accurate Receipt of Inventory
  • Minimize inventory adjustments.


Quality:

  • Collect samples when requested by customers.
  • Work with Production Planner to coordinate packaging material changes.
  • Work with customers/vendors/Production Planner to resolve quality issues.
  • Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions.


Initiative:

  • Interface directly with customers and maintain a professional and courteous relationship.
  • Ensure customer requests are responded to within an hour. Provide customer with an estimated time of completion including factual response.
  • Immediately escalate to management customer’s complaint (i.e. inabilities to meet customer requests or customer reported error).


Inventory Forecasting:

  • Using the data gathered from inventory counting and sales, a manager needs to predict future trends. Done correctly, they can optimize the amount of product kept on hand and keep costs low.

Train Warehouse staff:

  • Ensure department employees are properly trained and working as a team.
  • Optimize efficiency is achieving proper Inventory Control.


Working with the Site Management Team - Lead achievement of the following:

  • Maintain an accurate Inventory exceeding agreed performance.
  • Sustain a reconciled Inventory of the Allen WMS “Book of Record” within the DC to the Customer’s Inventory Record.
