Job Title: Inventory Specialist

Pay: $23 - $24

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm; Monday - Friday

Job Description

This role focuses on accurately receiving, processing, and shipping materials while maintaining organized inventory and supporting production needs. You will work in a hands-on warehouse environment, using an ERP system to update inventory records and collaborating with internal teams to ensure materials are available and correctly staged.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outbound orders for shipment, ensuring correct items, quantities, and packaging.
  • Maintain and organize the stock room, ensuring all materials are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with scheduled inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Update and maintain inventory records using the Business Central ERP system.
  • Stage materials for production and coordinate with internal teams to meet ongoing inventory and production requirements.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment (with training provided if needed).
  • Handle general material movement and material handling tasks throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas in compliance with company standards and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with packaging and packing tasks to ensure products are properly prepared for storage or shipment.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verification of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Material handling experience, including moving, staging, and organizing inventory.
  • Inventory control experience, including performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for tracking and managing inventory.
  • Basic computer skills to update and manage inventory in an ERP system.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Business Central is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to keep stock areas orderly and well-labeled.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate order picking, packing, and inventory documentation.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience preferred, with willingness to be trained and certified if not already qualified.
  • Experience using Business Central ERP is highly desirable.
  • Comfort operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment, with training available.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic, supporting performance-based increases and incentives.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rio Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
