International Sales Executive

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE:

Manages, grows, and retains revenue among assigned portfolio of medium and large international accounts. Sells USPS inbound and outbound international mailing and shipping products and services to new and existing business customers within an assigned geography to achieve sales and revenue retention goals. Conducts in-person and virtual meetings with new and existing customers to close sales.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Manages portfolio of medium to large international accounts within assigned geography.


2. Executes end-to-end sales process for inbound and outbound international services and products to achieve established revenue goals within an assigned geography by developing customized mailing and shipping business plans and strategies for new and existing customers.


3. Conducts research and utilizes intelligence and marketing information for international customers, competitors, industry trends, products, and services. Receives and follows up on sales leads from various USPS lead sources and prospects through activities such as cold calling, networking, research, and referrals, using information to develop briefings and proposals.


4. Collaborates closely with district sales managers and field sales function to close difficult and complex international sales to domestic customers. Supports the distribution of international-specific sales communications and training materials to field sales function and may conduct trainings for field sales force as needed. Partners cross-functionally with domestic sales to grow international revenue by joining sales calls and exchanging customer leads.


5. Participates in the execution of international pricing agreement development plans; assists in developing solutions customized to specific business needs to grow revenue. Conducts negotiations and executes agreements at the customer?s place of business.


6. Assists international sales leadership in the development and implementation of consistent international sales and account management strategies across geographies, ensuring cross-functional requirements are communicated to international operations and other key stakeholders. Recommends and implements changes to sales and account management strategies as necessary.


7. Develops effective working relationships with business customers and business partners to address customer needs and maximize potential revenue opportunities from global products and services.


8. Leads salesforce participation in vendor trade shows and meetings to support the marketing of global products and solutions.


9. Maintains, tracks, and reports on customer information, account management/sales activities, and projected revenue using a customer relationship management system to enhance USPS visibility to end customers? needs and to promote accurate revenue and sales reporting.



REQUIREMENTS:


  1. Ability to communicate orally and in writing to provide technical guidance, negotiate business terms, develop sales promotional material, and make presentations to employees and managers.
  2. Ability to manage sales through the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closed sales.
  3. Ability to research and analyze competitive marketplace conditions and industry trends that impact potential international revenue opportunities and customer base.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain multiple effective relationships with internal stakeholders and decision-makers at major international customers to build trust and to understand and address customer needs.
  5. Ability to coach, train, and mentor other sales representatives, providing advice and guidance on international-specific sales tactics and customer relationship-building.
  6. SPECIAL CONDITION: Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory and internationally as needed to close sales.
