Intern - Production (Part-Time)

Duties include working closely with ICTN staff to provide support for video productions by operating video cameras and audio equipment, assisting in the set up and break down of studio and field productions, and completing other related tasks as assigned. No previous work experience is required, but must be at least 18 years of age to be hired; be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or have completed major coursework in a directly related field within the past year; and have, or be able to obtain, a Class C Texas driver’s license. Schedule will vary, and may include late afternoon, evening and/or weekend hours.

PAY GRADE GG02 / FULL PAY RANGE $11.86 - $16.73 PER HOUR

The Communications Department collects and distributes timely information to a variety of interested parties across a number of platforms. The department serves external stakeholders, including residents, media, other governmental bodies, businesses and interested opinion leaders. It also communicates to internal stakeholders, such as city employees, boards and commissions, the mayor and the City Council.
A variety of tools are employed to inform and educate audiences:

• Printed materials
• The city website
• Social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• The television production department, Irving Community Television Network (ICTN)

Additionally, a number of town hall and neighborhood association roundtables meetings are held annually where residents meet face-to-face with city leaders.
