We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Summer Intern to join our biologics manufacturing team. This internship provides hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated environment, supporting the production of biologic drug substances. The intern will work alongside experienced manufacturing professionals and gain exposure to upstream and downstream processing, cleanroom operations, and industry-standard documentation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily biologics manufacturing operations under supervision in a GMP environment
  • Assist with setup, operation, and teardown of production equipment (e.g., bioreactors, filtration systems, single-use assemblies)
  • Participate in material staging, line clearance, and inventory verification activities
  • Observe and contribute to batch execution, including real-time documentation
  • Assist in equipment cleaning, preparation, and basic maintenance activities
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to all safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Facilities, and Technical Operations

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work in a structured environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of biological processes (preferred)
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

Program Details 

  • Full-time, 10–12 week summer internship
  • Structured onboarding and on-the-job training

  • Must pass a drug screen
  • May be required to pass Occupational Health Screening

Pay Range: $25.30/hr. 

Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
