Position Overview

A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters. This role offers a hybrid work structure and the opportunity to handle cases from inception through resolution while working closely with experienced litigators.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters including:
• Personal injury
• Property damage
• Premises liability
• General liability claims
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with clients, adjusters, and internal teams
• Perform legal research and case analysis to support litigation strategy
• Handle matters from initial intake through trial preparation and resolution
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and case management records

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the Philadelphia Bar (New York admission is a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Strong litigation, research, and writing skills
• Experience handling depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Familiarity with case management/legal software preferred
