Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients and claim personnel on insurance matters.
  • Handle a caseload involving general liability, professional liability, and related matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support client cases and stay updated with current laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguments in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming to resolve matters favorably and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar.
  • 1+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on general and professional liability.
  • Strong skills in discovery, legal writing, and civil litigation.
  • Proven ability to draft and prepare pleadings and motions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, with a focus on insurance law and civil procedure.
