1. Provide input to the Maintenance Manager plans and directions and ensure on-going appropriate relationships with other positions.
2. Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics. Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs on all IC&E equipment to improve the reliability of the plant.
3. Diagnose malfunctions and implements repair strategies on plant wide electrical system and electronic instrument and control systems.
4. Performs preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on power plant electrical, instruments and control systems including Mark Vle, ABB Symphony plus and DCS system hardware and software.
5. Perform a variety of maintenance, calibration and electronic testing functions.
6. Documents control and wiring change and redlines plant drawings as needed. Conforms with Tiverton’s Management of Change program.
7. Assist the Maintenance Manager during all scheduled and unscheduled outage periods and breakdowns as required. Interfaces with contractors and vendors to procure parts/services and implement contract work scopes.
8. Operates plant equipment as required (trucks, cranes, forklift, scissor and aerial lifts).
9. Understands and Complies to all Company Environmental, Health and Safety Policies.
10. Interfaces with MAXIMO used to track maintenance activities, inventory tracking and equipment history.
11. Reads meters, gauges, or automatic devices to record data such as temperature of equipment, vibration of equipment, hours of operation, pressure, and fluid levels, water chemistry to verify operating conditions.
12. Diagnoses cause of mechanical, electrical and operational malfunction or failure of equipment. Diagnoses electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems problems.
13. Serves as a technical resource for personnel with regard to electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems operation and maintenance.
14. Conducts electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems inspections and tests as required to ensure plant is operating within specified parameters.
15. Responds to all electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems alarms and malfunctions as directed. Coordinates with the lead Operator to identify and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
16. Analyzes trends and operating parameters on all electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems to identify potential or impending failures and to ensure the plant's running at optimal efficiency. Coordinates with the lead Operator to identify and initiate appropriated corrective actions.
17. Repairs, maintains and installs electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems and rearranges and modifies as directed.
18. Develops and follows predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance procedures and schedules.
19. Research, procure and order parts and materials as required.
20. Maintains a safe working environment to include good housekeeping practices of work areas and shop areas.
21. Maintains electrical, IC&E, electronic and electrical systems test equipment and shop areas.
22. Performs daily calibration function to Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and respond to all problems with associated equipment.
23. Repairs, replaces, dismantles and examines defective parts along with lubricating and cleaning parts.
24. Participates in and contributes to plant safety meetings and programs. Presents various safety training topics as assigned. Brings ideas for safety improvements forward. Documents all safety findings appropriately (near miss reporting, safety work orders, incident investigation participation, and safety improvement plan). Stops work and takes corrective action if an unsafe act is witnessed and escalates to management as appropriate. Enforces site safety rules and practices.
25. Adheres to the requirements of Process Safety Management and the Risk Management Program.
26. Hires and Supervises contractors when designated by the Maintenance Manager.
27. Perform other duties as required.
