Allen University Assistant/Associate Professor of Sport Management Location: On-Campus Applications Due: Open Until Filled Type: Full-time Effective Date: Fall 2026 As Allen University continues to evolve into the best HBCU in South Carolina, we are seeking a dedicated collegial faculty member to join us in pursuit of All That Can Be Imagined. This position is responsible for teaching classes both undergraduate and graduate level. Must evaluate and report student performances and progress in courses in accordance with university policies and procedures. Must meet minimum Faculty standards for hire and adhere to university policies and procedures. The instructor will promote, develop, and deliver quality education programs with the intent to retain students to graduation and access student learning outcomes each term. Minimum Qualifications: PhD/Doctorate in Sport Management, or related disciplines. 3 years experience teaching at college/university level in both undergrad and graduate level courses. Online teaching experience/training and/or certification and a willingness to teach in accelerated course lengths. Knowledge of micro-credentialing, workforce and curriculum design that supports student pathways and success. Ability to mentor student academic organizations and provide student program of study advisement. Someone with the capacity for and a background in leadership is desired. Physical Demands: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment, and ability to work with diverse populations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is expected to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, organizational skills with the teaching and learning process, and high level of inter-personal skills is preferred.
