Position: Instructional Designer

Compensation: $30-50/hr+, OT Eligible

Work Schedule:

  • In-office: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm


Overview:

The Instructional Designer & Courseware Developer delivers regulatory training and developing instructional content for Flight Crews, Maintenance, and Dispatch personnel. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training materials. The ideal candidate brings expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design technologies, and a collaborative approach to supporting operational excellence across departments.

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design developing e learning classes/technical content
  • Graphic design manipulation within Canva
  • Articulate 360 software (Storyline)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in eLearning tools, multimedia production, and presentation software.
  • Experience supporting regulatory training in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in instructional design, training delivery, or aviation operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design: Design and develop engaging, performance-based courseware across instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning formats using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Content Maintenance: Edit and update existing training presentations and materials to reflect current procedures and best practices.
  • Multimedia Production: Assist in producing scenario-based training videos, including camera setup, lighting, and video editing.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with SMEs, instructors, and cross-functional teams to support training initiatives and department projects.
  • Relationship Building: Foster a positive learning environment through courteous, professional interactions with trainees and colleagues.
