The Inside Services Sales Specialist supports Trane’s service business by qualifying leads, developing estimates and proposals, and coordinating with service and sales teams to drive revenue growth. This role focuses on inside‑based selling activities, customer engagement, and creating high‑quality service solutions that align with customer needs and Trane’s sustainability‑focused mission.
What you will do:
Support the service sales team by generating service estimates, proposals, agreements, and quotes (planned Service Agreements, repairs, retrofits, and other service offerings).
Work directly with customers via phone, email, and digital channels to understand needs and recommend appropriate Trane service solutions.
Qualify inbound leads and collaborate with outside account managers to advance sales opportunities. Coordinate new customer accounts, credit lines and insurance.
Maintain accurate information in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and estimating systems (e.g., WorkSight), ensuring opportunity progression and documentation.
Partner with sales and service operations teams to transition sold work into the operations/delivery phase, including preparing Transition Information Packages (TIP) that bundle key information including customer information, scope of work, contract documentation, estimate details/pricing, technical information, and schedule for service activities.
Respond to customer inquiries related to service contracts, equipment history, pricing, and available programs.
Develop and maintain product, service, and industry knowledge to effectively position Trane offerings.
Support service agreement renewal activities for existing service contracts and identify upsell or cross‑sell opportunities, including expanding agreements with new Trane technology/services offerings.
Review the performance of completed jobs and service agreements, and contribute to forecasting, pipeline reviews, and sales planning activities as required.
Deliver an excellent customer experience consistent with Trane Technologies values and service standards
What you will bring:
Associate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or HVAC/service industry experience preferred.
Strong communication, customer service, and relationship‑building skills.
Ability to understand and communicate technical HVAC service concepts (training provided).
Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office tools; experience with Salesforce a plus.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high‑quality customer outcomes.
