This role ensures proper material handling, consistent sheet quality, and achievement of production standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor material systems including blender, crystallizer, and dryers. - Safely operate extrusion equipment including extruder, melt pump, die, roll stack, former, and trim press. - Monitor process conditions to maintain consistent product quality and throughput. - Perform start-ups, and shutdowns in accordance with standard procedures, and assist with changeovers - Identify and resolve routine process or quality issues. - Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time. - Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. - Follow all company safety policies and procedures. - Communicate effectively with team members and shift leadership. Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience required; plastics extrusion preferred. - Experience with PET material handling systems preferred. - Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. - High School Diploma or GED required. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed. - Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization - Must have the ability to lift 75 lbs occasionally as job demands - Must have ability to work standing or walking, in a hot environment, for 12 hours with appropriate breaks.
