Essential Job Functions

  • Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), Microsoft security tools, and other monitoring platforms
  • Perform triage, analysis, and validation of potential security incidents
  • Correlate alerts with threat intelligence to determine risk and business impact
  • Investigate suspicious activities and respond to security incidents in real time
  • Contain threats to prevent lateral movement across systems, endpoints, and networks
  • Escalate complex or high-risk incidents to senior analysts as needed
  • Operate and maintain security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, DLP, and endpoint protection tools
  • Administer and monitor Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 security and compliance platforms
  • Leverage UEBA and SOAR capabilities to enhance threat detection and automate response processes
  • Manage and monitor endpoint security posture across organizational devices
  • Support device management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, MDM/MAM solutions)
  • Ensure device compliance with corporate security standards, including patching, encryption, and access controls
  • Oversee and support company-wide software updates and vulnerability remediation efforts
  • Enforce and support security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory requirements (e.g., J-SOX)
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimize downtime and business disruption
  • Act as a central point of contact for security-related incidents and communications
  • Provide security guidance and support to all business units
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, investigations, and remediation actions
  • Support internal and external audits through reporting and evidence collection
  • Supports the implementation of IT policies and procedures, including those pertaining to architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, and project portfolio management.
  • Negotiates and manages vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Provides expert support to the new ERP project team leveraging deep operational knowledge.
  • Attends Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
  • Obligation to answer to all upper management as requested


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for a majority of the working day
  • Ability to type on the computer for extended periods of time
  • Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds on occasion

Other Requirements

  • Business level English required – Read/write/speak/listen
  • Business level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information security or related field required.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, and/or Cloud) and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance tools
  • Experience with endpoint and device management solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, MDM/MAM platforms)
  • Strong understanding of device compliance, patch management, and software update processes
  • Knowledge of security policy implementation and enforcement
  • Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection
  • Proficiency with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • 1+ years of cybersecurity required; 3-5 years of experience preferred
