Procurement Manager (IT & Enterprise Services)

Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic Procurement Manager to support enterprise-wide technology purchasing initiatives, with a strong emphasis on financial negotiation, contract strategy, and vendor optimization. This role operates as a key advisor within the finance organization, partnering closely with executive leadership, IT stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive value across a complex portfolio of software, hardware, and services.

This is not a transactional purchasing role—this individual will serve as a true business partner, leading high-impact negotiations, shaping procurement strategy, and influencing enterprise-level decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse IT portfolio, including software, hardware, and professional services
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership (CIO, Finance executives, etc.) on sourcing decisions, contract structures, and vendor strategy
  • Negotiate complex enterprise agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, maintenance, and hardware-related contracts
  • Drive cost savings and value creation through effective negotiation of pricing, terms, and service level agreements
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and financial goals
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage relationships with resellers, distributors, and direct vendors, ensuring optimal performance and compliance
  • Lead contract renewals and present strategic options to leadership, including risk/reward tradeoffs
  • Conduct vendor performance reviews and support resolution of contract, licensing, and service issues
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into procurement strategies
  • Ensure all procurement activities align with internal policies, compliance requirements, and applicable regulations (including FAR where applicable)
  • Provide guidance to project teams on complex purchasing decisions and proactively address risk

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, or contract negotiation within a complex organization
  • Strong background negotiating enterprise-level software agreements and commercial contracts
  • Experience with IT procurement, including SaaS, software licensing, hardware, and associated services
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and improve contract outcomes through effective negotiation strategies
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze vendor proposals and build business cases
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership in a consultative capacity
  • Knowledge of reseller and distributor ecosystems within technology procurement
