Our Media & Entertainment client is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team on a contract to hire basis. Ideal candidates will have Film & TV studio operations experience along with the ability to leverage modern AI tools to accelerate analysis, documentation and stakeholder communications. Candidates must be able to work on a W2 basis and work a hybrid schedule near West Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Lead structured discovery sessions with stakeholders to define business problems, requirements, and success metrics.
- Translate business needs into functional, data, and reporting requirements.
- Create executive-ready deliverables such as presentations, process flows, and problem statements.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Partner with engineering and analytics teams to ensure solutions are implemented accurately.
- Support vendor evaluations and the rollout of internal and third-party tools.
- Assist with project planning, sequencing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop training materials and support change management and user adoption.
AI-Enabled Productivity
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to improve the speed and quality of analysis, documentation, and communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar role.
- Consulting experience with strong problem-structuring skills.
- Film or TV studio experience with familiarity in finance, content, or distribution workflows.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft 365, Visio, or Lucidchart.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with analytics and BI tools (Sigma, Row Zero, Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Salesforce, or Dynamics.
- Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, CFO, or CAO organizations.
- Background in studio operations, post-production, or content distribution.
