The Cryptographic Engineering Team (CET) Tools & PKI Management & Engineering Team team has an exciting Information Security Engineer position available.  The selected candidate will join a diverse, motivated and experienced team to work on cutting edge products and applications within Wells Fargo Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). 

The selected Engineer will be responsible for assuring the high availability of publicly accessible PKI applications, managing both Windows and Linux servers.  Experience with HA components such as F5, firewall, router, switch, and other network infrastructure is required. 

This position includes both day-to-day operational support and the continued improvement of the team's infrastructure components focused on security application support. 

In addition to infrastructure administration, responsibilities for this this position may include:

  • Acting as back up to increase bench strength on Windows based security applications.
  • Authoring and maintaining technical procedural documentation
  • Providing consultation for internal projects and initiatives

This is an operational support position supporting a 24/7/365 technology.  As such, the selected candidates will need to have a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays for on-call support, and in some cases scheduled off hours work.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 4+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
  • 3+ years of Windows Server implementation experience including operating systems analysis, operating systems engineering or a combination of both
  • 3+ years of experience preforming engineering or support for Public Key Infrastructure
  • 3+ years of Windows OS administration experience
  • 3+ years of experience engineering and analyzing server-based operating systems such as Windows or Unix
  • 2+ years of Network experience
  • 1+ year of experience writing or modifying automation scripts for Windows servers
  • 1 + year of PowerShell scripting experience
  • 1+ years of Unix Bash shell scripting experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 1+ year of Linux experience
  • 1+ year of MS Active Directory experience
  • 1+ year of experience working with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Advanced Information Security technical skills and solid knowledge and understanding of information security practices and policies
  • Knowledge and understanding of cryptography and key management


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Support work at Shoreview II data center.
  • M-F, 8am - 5pm local time, plus on-call,  scheduled off-hours and data center work as required.
