Job Summary:
The Distribution Center Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a distribution center, ensuring efficient and effective warehouse operations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, health and safety practices, and a deep understanding of warehouse management principles.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions.
- Help maintain the maintenance budgets and control costs.
- Inventory and supply management: Order, receive, store and track inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Schedule maintenance services as required.
Facility Maintenance:
- Oversee and perform all applicable maintenance to all building systems.
- Coordinate with specialty contractors for items such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc..
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks (cleaning, inspecting, replacements as needed, adjustments, testing, etc.)
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
- Maintain certifications and operate warehouse equipment as needed (forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and training.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Comply with all ISO certification requirements.
- Report all maintenance activities to the Operations Manager regularly.
Project Management:
- Manage and oversee facility improvement projects.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in maintenance software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dedication to safety and ability to obtain an OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment.
- Willingness to travel for additional company paid training.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with conveyor systems.
- Technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related field.
- Working knowledge of building automation systems.
- Experience with an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AutoStore preferred).
- Experience with robotics.
- Experience with a Vertical Lift Module.
- Experience with CNC machines.
