Industrial Cleaner

This role enhances daily operations by providing essential sanitation and organizational functions at the Roasting Plant. The Industrial Cleaner ensures a clean, safe, and efficient production environment by maintaining sanitation standards across all warehouse and equipment areas, supporting product quality and team safety. This position aligns with core values and operates in accordance with established operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize office, lab, kitchen, restroom, and breakroom areas.
• Sweep and mop warehouse floors and general areas.
• Separate and dispose of trash, recycle, and compost.
• Complete deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Maintain an organized janitorial cage and perform inventory counts.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to a supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, OSHA, FSMA, and all food and worker safety processes, procedures, regulations, and sustainability programs.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects as directed.

• 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate equipment and machinery used in cleaning processes, such as floor sweepers, pressure washers, steam cleaners, and pallet jacks.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
• Team-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to contribute positively to work atmosphere by interacting and communicating professionally with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.

• Continuous improvement experience is a plus.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to complete heavy lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to push/pull 150-2500 pounds using pallet jacks and/or heavy machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, grasp, finger, and reach.
• Ability to withstand noise and vibration.

Work Environment

Work within a coffee roaster, where the pleasant aroma of coffee fills the air. The temperature is controlled to ensure comfort during shifts, which run Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Oakland,CA.
