Our client, a highly regarded, internationally focused law firm, is seeking an experienced Immigration Partner to join and expand its established Immigration Practice in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney with a portable book of business who is seeking a sophisticated platform, strong cross-selling opportunities, and a collaborative environment that prioritizes long-term client relationships over volume-driven service models.

Candidates with a substantial practice are encouraged to apply. Attorneys with a more modest but growing book of business, combined with strong technical credentials and business development potential, will also be considered.

Practice Highlights

The team advises clients ranging from emerging companies to multinational organizations across industries including technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, media, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, gaming, luxury goods, consulting, and e-commerce.

Core areas of work include:

• Employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant matters
• Global mobility and workforce planning
• H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E, PERM and related matters
• I-9 compliance and E-Verify programs
• Immigration issues arising from mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations
• Executive transfers and expatriate planning
• HR counseling, training and internal policy development
• Global immigration program management

The practice also works closely with attorneys in corporate, employment, tax, compensation and benefits, and real estate matters to provide integrated client solutions.

Ideal Candidate

• Partner or senior counsel with significant immigration law experience
• Portable business preferred; modest but growing books will be considered
• Strong corporate client relationships
• Experience advising sophisticated employers on mobility and compliance matters
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in expanding a practice
• Collaborative approach and commitment to exceptional client service

Compensation

Anticipated compensation range is $250,000 to $400,000+, depending on experience, practice economics, and portable business.
