Job Description

The Assembler performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce premium class interior components and furniture for commercial aircraft. This role works within the time constraints of a master production schedule, follows detailed engineering documentation, and ensures that all assemblies meet stringent customer and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive assembly operations to build commercial aircraft interior components and premium class furniture according to established procedures.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings to determine assembly requirements and part relationships.
• Follow installation procedures precisely to ensure accurate and consistent assembly of components.
• Mix and apply adhesives in accordance with manufacturer specifications to achieve proper bonding and structural integrity.
• Apply silicone sealant as required to meet design and performance standards.
• Place parts in the specified relationship to each other, ensuring correct alignment, fit, and orientation.
• Verify unit dimensions prior to installing inserts, rivets, blind nuts, blocks, angles, doublers, and fittings.
• Bond, screw, rivet, or otherwise attach parts together using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Drill, countersink, and rivet metal or sheet metal parts as required by the work instructions.
• Install attachment fittings and other hardware as assigned to complete the assembly.
• Prepare and organize tools, hardware, and parts for use in the manufacturing area to support efficient workflow.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand how parts fit and function together.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience assembling aircraft interiors or other precision mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with installing inserts, rivets, blind nuts, blocks, angles, doublers, and fittings.
• Experience with bonding processes and using various fastening methods (screws, rivets, adhesives).
• Ability to organize tools, parts, and materials to support efficient production flow.

Work Environment

This role is based in a very large, clean manufacturing facility dedicated to producing interior products for commercial aircraft, including galleys, closets, lavatories, floor panels, class dividers, and sidewalls. You will work in a production environment that uses a variety of hand tools and power tools to assemble metal and composite components. The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safety, with clear procedures and documentation to guide daily work. The physical nature of the role includes standing for extended periods, handling parts and assemblies, and lifting up to 40 lbs as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seal Beach, CA.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Seal Beach,CA.
