Position Overview
The Imaging Management Lead partners closely with the Imaging Services leadership team to support the coordination of daily departmental operations across multiple diagnostic imaging modalities. This role blends leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical support, ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care standards.
This position may also provide direct imaging services as needed, based on certification and departmental demands.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the imaging department to ensure smooth patient flow and service efficiency.
• Support staffing functions including scheduling, onboarding, mentoring, and performance oversight.
• Promote a culture centered on safety, teamwork, and service excellence.
Clinical & Technical Responsibilities
• Perform imaging procedures within scope of licensure and certification.
• Support one or more specialty modalities such as Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Sonography, X-Ray, or DEXA depending on qualifications.
• Monitor equipment functionality, coordinate maintenance, and ensure quality control standards are met.
• Uphold imaging protocols and clinical best practices across all modalities.
Regulatory & Quality Compliance
• Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
• Support quality assurance initiatives, audits, and safety programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance patient outcomes and imaging quality.
Communication & Collaboration
• Partner with technologists, radiologists, physicians, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate workflow updates, departmental priorities, and expectations effectively to staff.
• Provide insights to leadership for operational planning and performance improvements.
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Active ARRT certification and applicable state licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced modality experience in Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, or Sonography highly preferred.
• Prior leadership experience (Lead Tech, Charge Tech, or supervisory role).
• Experience working across multiple imaging modalities.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards, quality control programs, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule & Work Environment
• Full-time, primarily weekday schedule.
• Flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
• Role includes standing for extended periods, assisting patients, and handling imaging equipment.
