The I&E Maintenance technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC/Delta V programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • Troubleshoot instrument and control malfunctions
  • Install new system controls (including power wiring)
  • Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
  • Maintain accurate records and logs as needed
  • Service and replace motors and lighting
  • Perform general maintenance
  • Promote strong team atmosphere



QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Instrumentation degree, or certification preferred
  • 4+ years of I&E experience in a plant environment preferred
  • MUST be an NCCER certified Electrician
  • Experience with PLC Programming experience - Delta V is preferred
  • Honeywell experience
  • Distributed control system (DCS) experience required
  • Installing VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive) required
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Experience working with 480V and below
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
  • Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)
  • Team player willing to assist where needed
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for long periods of time
  • Willing to work rotating "on-call" schedule
  • Able to work regular overtime hours as needed
