HVAC Technician

Position Title: Mechanical Technician – HVAC / Plumbing

Location: Vienna, VA (100% onsite)

Position Status: Contract (Industrial)

Position Description:

Join a dynamic Mechanical Services team dedicated to delivering high-quality HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration solutions. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to oversee and perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial mechanical systems. This onsite position requires quick response capabilities within a 45-minute radius of Vienna, VA, to support project needs and emergency calls.

As a key team member, you will manage mechanical operations, ensuring compliance with local and state codes, and utilize your technical expertise to maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues across a range of systems.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and company safety and mechanical codes.
• Manage mechanical operations to optimize performance and reliability.
• Document work activities and communicate findings effectively.
• Support emergency repairs and system upgrades as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration. (7 years in HVAC highly preferred)
• Valid VA HVAC Journeyman or Master license.
• Proven experience managing mechanical system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and safety standards.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
